- To support the Bank's legal and recovery-related activities through review of legal documents, assessment of contractual and case-related information, monitoring of compliance requirements and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role involves identifying legal and regulatory issues, supporting litigation and recovery processes, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations and Bank policies while protecting the Bank's interests.
Responsibilities
- Providing opinion to the Credit Underwriting Team / Management on the mortgage ability of the land / property in question and the nature of mortgage to be created to secure the proposed lending
- Experience of drafting of loan agreements, Escrow agreements, mortgage, security creation documents etc.
- Proficiency in scrutinizing, inspecting and guiding in all commercial legal matters and documents
- Drafting, Vetting of the documents as per the Business Needs/Terms and condition
- Provide support on Alliance Business related Negotiations, Strategy, Term Sheets, Contractual agreements, Policy drafts and due diligence
- Ensure compliance of the group to all Regulatory, Internal and Contractual requirements
- Identify & mitigate potential Legal, Compliance or Business Risks
- Monitor controls & related documentations and provide oversight & governance for Risk Management procedures
- Monitor cases against Bank and liaise with lawyers to ensure successful conduct of the case
- Provide legal opinion/decision on all legal aspects in assets and liabilities business of the Bank
- Handle death claim cases
- Monitoring legal and regulatory compliance of all legal matters in the Bank across various businesses
- Drafting of criminal complaints and liaison with Police authorities
- Initiating and monitoring recovery measures in retail.
Qualifications
Experience Range : 5 to 10 Years

- Graduate (Law)
Post Graduate (Law)
Special qualifications in contracts due diligence desirable.
