IPEX is a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems in North America. For more than 50 years, we have built a reputation for quality, innovation, and performance while serving the municipal, industrial, and electrical markets.

We are currently looking for a General Laborer / Fabricator to join our team. This is a hands-on manufacturing position where you will fabricate and prepare plastic piping products and fittings based on customer orders.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Cut plastic piping materials using various saws and fabrication equipment
  • Drill, grind, bevel, and prepare plastic materials
  • Assemble fabricated fittings using PVC primer and adhesive
  • Fabricate tees, reducers, couplings, elbows, and custom fittings
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including band saws, routers, grinders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and basic hand and power tools
  • Measure angles and materials using appropriate measuring tools
  • Form and expand socket joints using various heating processes
  • Read and follow production work orders, travelers, sketches, and simple drawings
  • Complete required production documentation
  • Inspect and measure materials throughout the fabrication process to ensure quality standards are met
  • Properly use and care for required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

  • Basic math skills, including fractions, geometry, and angles
  • Ability to read and understand imperial measurements
  • Ability to read work orders, sketches, and simple technical drawings
  • Good mechanical aptitude; previous mechanical or fabrication experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Ability to accurately use basic measuring tools
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that may require bending, kneeling, stooping, or squatting
  • Reliable attendance and a willingness to learn
