Facilities Technician - MIA

Job Duties:

• •Perform day-to-day facility maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, doors, fixtures, and lighting
• •Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment; document and report findings
• •Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues; act as a first responder to system failures when needed
• •Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot facility issues to minimize downtime
• •Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall safety of the facility and surrounding areas
• •Set up, break down, and relocate furniture, equipment, and materials as required
• •Ensure supply rooms and bathrooms are properly stocked at all times
• •Perform cleaning duties when required
• •Coordinate and oversee vendors and outside contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects
• •Assist with facility-related projects and improvements
• •Monitor and respond to security and safety concerns
• •Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
• •Work indoors and outdoors, including at heights, as required
• •Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
• •Be available to work weekends and flexible schedules as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• •Working knowledge of general maintenance systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
• •Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and take ownership of issues
• •Hands-on experience using hand and power tools , multimeters, and basic diagnostic equipment
• •Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and perform physical tasks throughout the day
• •Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights
• •Strong communication skills; able to interact professionally with management and staff
• •Reliable, punctual, and highly dependable
• •Proactive mindset; identifies and addresses issues without waiting to be directed
• •Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented
• •Team player with a strong work ethic and pride in maintaining the facility
