Final Assembly - 1st Shift

Description

The Final Assembly is primarily responsible for sub-assembling smaller parts. This includes reviewing the work order to ensure material availability.

Responsibilities not limited to:

Review picking sheet

• •Confirms if pick from stock or make from a job
• •Locate job and compare with picking sheet
• •Review drawings for part assembly (if available)
• •Gather materials to assemble parts
• •Assemble parts
• •Review picking sheet for special instructions
• •Inspect parts for final assembly
• •Sign off on production and picking sheet

Competencies

• •Ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity work
• •Ability to organize and prioritize jobs
• •Ability to communicate – clearly and comprehensively

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• •Able to stand for long periods of time
• •Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs pounds unassisted

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• •High School diploma or GED
• •Shop experience in assembly and reading shop prints
• •Familiar with power tools and hand tools, loc-tite glue, and paper cutter

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• •Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• •Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools
• •Work hours 7:00am - 3:30pm

Work Environment

• •Typical machine shop environment.
• •Willing and able to work additional hours as needed
