Final Assembly Operator

Job Description

Essential Duties Include:

• •Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications.
• •Complete Progress report – identify the job and the starting time
• •Review the Work Order for special instructions
• •Assure the set-up is correct for the job
• •Assure the station layout, tags and labels are appropriate for the job
• •Complete Sign-Off check list and have it signed by the appropriate person
• •Inspect parts – assure patents and margins are correct with no blotches
• •Perform hand manipulation when required – peeling waste off the part
• •Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
• •Set and verify parts clearances.
• •Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as punch box or templates.
• •Cut trim parts for assembly.
• •Examine completed workpieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces.
• •Set up, operate, or tend machines to slit or punch material.
• •Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• •High School Diploma
• •Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• •This position involves sitting for long periods of time.
• •Lifting capability of up to 25-50 lbs.
• •Constant upper body movement, including use of arms and hands, bending and twisting.
