Finance Intern

Position Overview

The Finance Rotational Internship provides undergraduate and graduate students with a unique opportunity to gain experience across four critical corporate functions: Tax, Internal Audit, Financial Reporting, and Internal Controls.

Over a four-month period, participants complete structured rotations that demonstrate how financial transactions are recorded, controlled, reviewed, and reported. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful business projects while developing technical, analytical, and professional skills. Participants will gain exposure to corporate accounting and financial reporting, tax accounting versus financial accounting, internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, audit procedures and testing, and business process improvement techniques.

This program is ideal for students interested in accounting, finance, audit, risk management, governance, and taxation.

Responsibilities

Tax

• •Assist with tax compliance and reporting projects.
• •Support tax provision and tax accounting activities.
• •Participate in process improvement and tax technology projects.
• •Prepare documentation and research on technical tax issues.

Internal Audit

• •Assist with audit planning and execution activities
• •Conduct financial statement analysis.
• •Perform data analysis and testing procedures.
• •Document audit observations and findings.
• •Participate in interviews and process walkthroughs.

Financial Reporting

• •Prepare work papers that support journal entries and disclosures and financial statement balances.
• •Perform variance analysis and research fluctuations in financial results.
• •Participate in accounting research and special projects.
• •Help identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes through automation and artificial intelligence tools.

Internal Controls

• •Assist with documentation of business processes and controls.
• •Participate in control testing and monitoring efforts.
• •Help identify process improvement opportunities.
• •Maintain control and risk documentation.

Qualifications

• •Pursuing an undergraduate degree in: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a Related discipline
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• •Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, or work experiences
• •Curiosity and willingness to learn across multiple disciplines
