The Opportunity

PT Bimatekno Karyatama Konsultan (PTBK), part of the Beca Group, is seeking an experienced finance and tax professional to support a project-specific tax compliance and tax audit review programme covering multiple fiscal years (FY2022-FY2025).

This role will play a key part in preparing tax reconciliations, conducting transaction analyses, mapping accounting records to tax obligations, and supporting responses to tax authority enquiries, SP2DK reviews, and ongoing tax audit activities.

The position is ideally suited to an individual with strong Indonesian tax knowledge, excellent analytical capability, and hands-on experience in tax reconciliations, tax audits, and compliance reviews.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Reconciliation & Review

  • Prepare and maintain detailed tax reconciliations across multiple fiscal years.
  • Perform reconciliation between: Revenue per GL vs VAT Returns Revenue per CIT vs VAT Returns Payroll expenses vs WHT Article 21 Local services expenses vs WHT Unification Offshore services expenses vs WHT Article 26 Export services revenue (EJKP) vs WHT Final Rental expenses vs relevant withholding tax obligations Construction costs vs WHT Final Article 4(2)
  • Review Input VAT documentation and reconcile to accounting records.
  • Prepare fixed asset tax depreciation reconciliations.
  • Identify and investigate reconciliation differences and recommend corrective actions.

GL Mapping & Tax Analysis

  • Develop and maintain tax mapping between general ledger accounts and tax return reporting categories.
  • Analyze historical transactions and supporting documents to determine tax treatment.
  • Review accounting entries and supporting documentation to support tax positions.
  • Provide analysis of project costs, G&A expenses and other accounts requested during tax reviews.

Tax Audit & SP2DK Support

  • Assist Finance Manager and external tax advisors in responding to tax authority enquiries.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and working papers required during tax audits, SP2DK or tax compliance reviews.
  • Compile and organize supporting documentation requested by tax consultants and tax authorities.
  • Perform data extraction, analysis and validation of historical accounting records.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all reconciliation files and supporting schedules are properly documented and audit ready.
  • Maintain structured working papers and evidence supporting tax positions.
  • Coordinate with Accounting Operations, Tax Team, Payroll, Project Finance and other stakeholders to obtain supporting documentation.

Key Deliverables

  • FY2022-FY2025 tax reconciliation workpapers.
  • GL account mapping and tax reconciliation frameworks supporting VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax and other tax compliance reviews.
  • Revenue reconciliations between the General Ledger, VAT Returns, and Corporate Income Tax Returns.
  • Payroll expenses vs WHT Article 21 reconciliation.
  • Local services expenses vs WHT Unification reconciliation.
  • Offshore services expenses vs WHT Article 26 reconciliation.
  • Export services revenue (EJKP) vs WHT Final reconciliation.
  • Rental expenses vs relevant withholding tax obligations reconciliation.
  • Construction costs vs WHT Final Article 4(2) reconciliation.
  • Input VAT review schedules and supporting analyses.
  • Fixed asset tax depreciation reconciliations.
  • Project cost and G&A supporting schedules.
  • SP2DK and tax audit supporting analyses.
  • DGT clarification response schedules and supporting documentation.

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in taxation, tax audit, tax compliance, or financial control roles, including hands-on experience in tax reconciliations, tax authority reviews, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience in multinational or professional services environments.
  • Significant knowledge of tax legislation, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian taxation, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes (Articles 21, 23/Unification, 26), and Final Tax.
  • Experience analysing General Ledger transactions and mapping accounting records to tax reporting and reconciliation requirements.
  • Experience preparing supporting schedules, working papers, and documentation for tax audits, SP2DK reviews, or regulatory enquiries.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including reconciliation of large and complex datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work on a fixed term 6-12 months
