First Grade Classroom Teacher (2027 - 2028 school year)

Description

Heritage Christian Academy, a growing K-12 Christian school in the Kansas City metro area, is seeking qualified candidates for an elementary position. Heritage provides a Christ-centered education with academic excellence within a caring Christian community on two campuses in South Johnson County.

Responsibilities:

• •Prepare and deliver lessons clearly and effectively
• •Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and positive learning environment
• •Accurately record attendance and complete required daily documentation
• •Communicate proactively and collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and staff as needed
• •Participate in required professional development or training sessions as provided
• •Fulfill other duties as assigned by school administration

Requirements

The candidate should reflect the following characteristics:

• •A strong Christian testimony with a mature and godly character
• •Exemplary Christian virtue both in and outside of school
• •Commitment to regular church attendance in alignment with the Statement of Faith
• •Education: BA/BS in Education
• •Current ACSI certification or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe
