Description

Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1921, is an independent, coeducational school serving students from age 2 to Grade 8 on two campuses. The Lower Campus, which teaches students from two years old through Grade 3, seeks a full-time elementary teacher for the upcoming school year. Palm Beach Day Academy seeks to educate the whole child fostering a love of learning in a student-centered environment. A successful candidate will:

Requirements

The lower campus teacher is responsible for:

Planning and implementing curriculum
Using a variety of teaching strategies within a co-teaching, collaborative model
Planning and conducting small and large group lessons that meet standards
Encouraging and supporting student-driven learning
Valuing the student experience
Being a committed team member

Selection Criteria:

Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the elementary level (ideal, but not required)
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Experience integrating technology with curriculum
