We are hiring an experienced Gaming Marketing manager to own and drive the Gaming Marketing business in DACH in a fast-paced, multi-channel and highly cross-functional environment.

This role requires a marketer who understands gaming as a culture, not just a category, and can translate this into impactful, culturally relevant, and commercially successful marketing.

This is not a coordination role; it requires a hands-on marketing leader who takes full ownership from strategy definition to execution and performance delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Define and execute the local Gaming Marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and priorities
  • Own end-to-end marketing planning across annual and quarterly cycles in a dynamic market environment
  • Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans that support revenue, market-share and premium-mix ambitions.
  • Act as the central Gaming Marketing lead for the DACH market.

2. Audience Insights & Market Intelligence

  • Use market data, consumer insights, social intelligence and competitive analysis to inform strategy and investment decisions.
  • Turn insights into clear audience priorities, briefs and actions that improve relevance, performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor gaming culture, communities, platforms and emerging behaviors to identify local opportunities.

3. Brand, Campaigns and Demand Creation

  • Build and strengthen long-term brand positioning within the gaming category through culturally relevant marketing
  • Lead integrated, multi-channel campaigns across brand, performance, retail, e-commerce and digital touchpoints.
  • Guide creative development and storytelling to ensure a consistent, compelling and high-quality brand experience.
  • Apply a test-and-learn approach and optimize activity based on measurable results.

4. Product Launch and Lifecycle Marketing

  • Own the local go-to-market plan for gaming product launches, including execution and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate launch plans across Category, Sales, Retail, e-commerce, media, creators, social and agency partners.
  • Manage the marketing lifecycle from launch through sell-through, maintaining visibility and demand beyond launch moments.

5. Gaming Events and Experiences

  • Lead gaming events ranging from retail and community activations to complex, large-scale gaming and esports programs.
  • Own end-to-end delivery, including objectives, concept, budget, agency direction, partner coordination, logistics, content, stakeholder alignment, on-site execution and post-event reporting.
  • Develop and manage relationships with gaming venues, event organizers and community partners, including Xperion and comparable partners.
  • Plan and deliver HP and HyperX participation at relevant DACH gaming events, conventions, tournaments and community activations.

6. Sponsorships and Gaming Partnerships

  • Evaluate and recommend gaming, esports and community sponsorship opportunities against audience, brand and business objectives.
  • Lead sponsorship planning, activation and performance tracking with esports teams, leagues, tournaments, publishers and gaming organizations.
  • Coordinate negotiations, rights, deliverables, asset usage, approvals and stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage relationships with partners such as Prime League and comparable leagues or organizations.

7. Creator, Social and Content Marketing

  • Develop and own the DACH gaming social-channel strategy, channel role and content approach.
  • Lead agency partners in editorial planning, content production, publishing, community engagement and channel growth.
  • Turn product launches, events, partnerships and gaming priorities into platform-relevant, social-first content.
  • Plan and manage creator and influencer programs, from selection and briefing through content delivery, amplification and measurement.
  • Monitor and optimize reach, engagement, audience growth, traffic, conversion and business contribution.

8. Media and Performance Marketing

  • Own the gaming media strategy and campaign briefs across brand and performance activity.
  • Work with media agencies and internal stakeholders to define audiences, channel roles, investment priorities and measurement frameworks.
  • Drive a performance and conversion mindset while balancing short-term demand generation with long-term brand growth.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize investment based on agreed KPIs and business outcomes.

9. Commercial and Cross-functional Leadership

  • Partner with Retail Sales, Category, e-commerce and other key teams to connect marketing plans with commercial priorities.
  • Lead integrated planning and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders from brief through execution.
  • Manage agencies and external partners against clear scopes, timelines, budgets, quality standards and business outcomes.
  • Own budget planning, tracking and financial discipline across gaming marketing investments.

10. Measurement and Optimization

  • Define success measures for brand, campaign, channel, event, partnership and commercial performance.
  • Monitor and report on awareness, consideration, engagement, traffic, conversion, revenue contribution and return on investment.
  • Turn performance results and learnings into clear recommendations for future activity.

What Success Looks Like

  • Strong and consistent growth in gaming revenue and market share
  • High-impact, best-in-class campaigns across all channels and touchpoints
  • Measurable improvements in brand awareness, engagement, and conversion
  • Effective integration across retail, e-tail, and digital environments
  • Strong cross-functional alignment and execution excellence

Key Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing within gaming, consumer electronics, or related industries
  • Proven experience in gaming marketing, either within gaming brands, esports/publishers, or gaming-focused agencies
  • Strong understanding of gaming audiences and proven ability to engage them through relevant marketing approaches
  • Hands-on experience working with creator/influencer-led marketing programs
  • Experience leading integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Solid business acumen with experience contributing to revenue and commercial targets
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Experience managing agencies and external partners

Preferred Experience

  • Strong understanding of the gaming ecosystem, community dynamics, and industry trends
  • Experience running big gaming events (eg. gamescom)
  • Experience in go-to-market planning for hardware or tech products
