Job Description
The Workshop is a collaborative industrial coworking and business community platform managed by CapitaLand Ascendas REIT. As General Manager, The Workshop, you will lead the overall business, operations and growth strategy across multiple locations. You will be responsible for driving occupancy and revenue performance, enhancing member experience, building a vibrant business community, and leading a team of Community Development professionals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall business strategy and performance of The Workshop, with accountability for occupancy, revenue growth, profitability and long-term business sustainability.
- Drive membership acquisition, retention and business expansion initiatives through strategic partnerships, market opportunities and innovative workspace solutions.
- Provide leadership and oversight of all Workshop locations, ensuring operational excellence, service consistency and a differentiated member experience.
- Lead, coach and develop the Community Development team, fostering a high-performance and customer-centric culture.
- Build and strengthen relationships with members, business partners and key stakeholders to create a vibrant ecosystem that supports collaboration, networking and business growth.
- Spearhead marketing, branding, partnership and community engagement initiatives to enhance market positioning, occupancy performance and brand awareness.
- Oversee business planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost management to optimise financial performance and maximise value creation.
- Oversee facilities, infrastructure and vendor management to ensure operational reliability, workplace excellence and customer satisfaction
- Identify and implement new business opportunities, service enhancements and process improvements to strengthen competitiveness, operational efficiency and member value proposition.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in coworking, flexible workspace, commercial real estate, hospitality, business development or customer-focused operations.
- Proven track record in driving business growth, occupancy and customer engagement.
- Strong commercial, financial and operational management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
