Shape Sustainable Solutions Through Data and Science

We are seeking a talented Groundwater Modeling & Environmental Data Management Consultant to join our growing environmental consulting team. In this role, you will contribute to complex environmental and water resource projects by applying your expertise in groundwater modeling, hydrogeology, and environmental data management to help clients address regulatory, operational, and sustainability challenges.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will support projects across industrial, infrastructure, energy, and public-sector clients throughout Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, calibrate, and interpret groundwater flow and contaminant transport models.
  • Manage, analyze, and validate hydrogeological and environmental datasets.
  • Support site investigations, remediation projects, and groundwater assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports, model documentation, and client deliverables.
  • Integrate environmental monitoring data into databases and visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists in hydrogeology, remediation, risk assessment, and environmental engineering.
  • Support client presentations and contribute to project planning and execution.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in groundwater modeling, hydrogeological assessments, environmental data management, or a related field.
  • Experience with groundwater modeling software such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, Visual MODFLOW , or similar tools.
  • Strong skills in environmental data analysis and management.
  • Experience working with GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with environmental databases, data visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English .
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international teams.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience supporting contaminated site investigations and remediation projects.
  • Knowledge of European groundwater and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with programming or scripting tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Understanding of environmental monitoring programs and data governance practices.
