AI Foundry is an AI building and consulting business working with some of the largest companies in the world. AI Foundry is partnered with a major global company operating across finance, consumer, and retail verticals, leading their AI efforts from the ground up.
The team is seeking builders who want to be part of something massive: designing and building multi-agent AI systems that will reshape how hundreds of millions of people interact with financial services, retail, insurance, and consumer products.
AI Foundry is looking for a Head of Manufacturing to lead the path from hardware design to scalable production. This person will own manufacturing strategy, supplier and factory readiness, quality systems, production planning, and the operating discipline required to turn prototypes into reliable products.
If you have taken hardware products into production and know how to build manufacturing systems that hold up under pressure, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Own manufacturing strategy from prototype builds through pilot production and scaled manufacturing.
Define manufacturing requirements, process flows, production plans, quality gates, and factory readiness milestones.
Partner with engineering, industrial design, supply chain, vendors, and leadership to ensure designs are manufacturable.
Build supplier, contract manufacturer, and factory relationships with clear expectations and accountability.
Establish quality systems, test processes, yield tracking, issue escalation, and corrective action workflows.
Identify manufacturing risks early and create practical mitigation plans.
Lead cost, schedule, tooling, materials, and production tradeoff conversations with data and clarity.
Build and lead a manufacturing organization as the business scales.
Create the operating cadence and documentation needed to move quickly without losing control of quality.
Who You Are
You have led manufacturing, operations, or production for hardware products.
You understand DFM, DFT, tooling, pilot builds, production ramps, quality systems, and supplier management.
You can work closely with engineering and design without treating manufacturing as an afterthought.
You know how to diagnose production issues and drive corrective action.
You are comfortable with cost, schedule, yield, quality, and supplier tradeoffs.
You communicate clearly with factories, vendors, engineers, executives, and operators.
You are detail-oriented without becoming process-heavy for its own sake.
You can build systems and teams from scratch.
You are calm under pressure and practical when plans change.
You are energized by turning ambitious hardware ideas into real products.
How We Work
We are looking for people who use AI to raise the speed, quality, and ambition of the work while staying grounded in customers, teammates, and measurable outcomes.
We are hands-on with AI and technical tools, and we make ideas tangible through prototypes, clear artifacts, and working systems.
We move quickly, share work early, and keep refining until the product experience feels useful, polished, and memorable.
We focus on the hardest problems and the outcomes that matter, with the judgment to change course when the evidence points somewhere better.
We communicate clearly enough that teammates, leaders, and AI-assisted workflows can act on our thinking across time zones.
We collaborate with openness and respect, build on other people's ideas, and treat shared ownership as part of doing excellent work.
We speak up directly and constructively when something looks wrong, then commit fully once a decision is made.
