Head of Operations / COO

About the Role

A seed-stage AI company serving manufacturers is hiring a Head of Operations / COO to own the day-to-day operation of the business. Working closely with the founders, you will connect customer delivery, supplier and freight operations, and product development as the team grows.

What You'll Do

Own customer onboarding, order execution, supplier and carrier coordination, and issue resolution.

Build the processes, metrics, and playbooks needed to serve more manufacturers with a lean team.

Work with engineering to prioritize which operational workflows AI agents should automate.

Manage supplier and freight operations, including vendor relationships and service quality.

Hire and lead the operations team as the business grows.

Partner with the founders on planning, finance, and company priorities.

What We're Looking For

Six to ten years of experience, including senior operations leadership as a Head of Operations, COO, VP or Director of Operations, or in a similar role.

Hands-on experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations.

Experience at an early-stage or younger company, with the ability to work hands-on and build processes from the ground up.

Strong skills in working with numbers, systems, and process design.

Experience in CPG, food, supplements, cosmetics, chemicals, or related manufacturing, or at a company serving these sectors, is helpful.

Freight brokerage or third-party logistics experience, or experience as a founder or early startup employee, is a plus.

Location

On-site in San Francisco, California, five days a week. Relocation within the United States is welcome.
