Sysco is the world’s largest foodservice provider and following continued growth and expansion across the Island of Ireland Sysco Ireland are now looking to expand and strengthen our Operations Leadership team by introducing a Head of Operations Systems that will lead impactful projects within the wider function.

The role will also contribute to and execute against our overall strategy and continued expansion, while managing operational plans, budgets and performance targets.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership for National Inventory, Warehouse Systems Optimisation, Operations & Supply Chain Projects, and Network Modernisation initiatives across Sysco Ireland

Overall responsibility of the National Inventory team, Warehouse System planning team, Loss Prevention and Operations & Supply Chain Project functions. Circa 35 colleagues.

Managing a portfolio of business-critical change projects across these departments

Maintain financial governance within budget, driving both Group-level and local operational efficiencies

Lead, coach, and inspire teams by setting clear strategic direction and aligning individual contributions to organisational goals

Establish/implement succession plans, incl. employee training and and development frameworks to build future capability.

Facilitate

Facilitate two-way Communication Cascade across the teams within the remit of the departments.

Lead and execute operational strategy in line with overall Group goals

Define and implement KPIs to monitor, evaluate, and enhance both individual and team performance.

Identifying opportunities and implement initiatives for continuous improvement in ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness of process

Leverage Sysco’s technological capabilities while ensuring operations align with sustainability commitments.

Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the departments

Requirements:

10+ years’ experience in relevant areas

Trade or Degree qualified in relevant areas

Lives and breathes Customer First approach

Extremely organised & comfortable operating in a highly dynamic & fast paced environment

Ability to influence across a wide range o internal and external stakeholders with proven ability to challenge the status quo

Proven ability in motivating, inspiring, leading and developing teams

Competent in breaking down a problem, understand the root cause and work with relevant stakeholders on developing and implementing solutions

Has proven experience in leading a positive culture by example and taking your teams on the journey with you

Is commercially astute and highly experienced at successfully implementing change

Is an insightful, data-savvy problem solver who has continuous improvement mindset

Financial, budgetary, and problem-solving skills and experience

Core Competencies:

Ability to create, lead and deliver on business cases and projects.

Analytical mindset, data led, with strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
