About the role

Join Motion as a Hose Assembly Specialist based in Mount Maunganui . You’ll manufacture, inspect, test and certify hose assemblies, delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service both in the workshop and on-site.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you’ll help ensure workshop operations run safely, efficiently and on time. Ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety and pride in delivering high-quality work .

What kind of work may be involved?

• •Manufacture hose assemblies and related products to required standards and customer specifications
• •Inspect, test and certify assemblies in accordance with industry standards
• •Provide prompt, courteous and professional service to customers in the workshop and on-site
• •Complete job sheets, timesheets and other required documentation accurately and on time
• •Maintain workshop equipment, tools and work areas to a safe, clean and reliable standard
• •Participate in training and share knowledge with colleagues
• •Travel or work away from the region from time to time when required

Ideal skills & experience:

• •Physically fit and able to lift small to large objects (minimum 20kgs).
• •Full NZ driver’s license.
• •Team player attitude.
• •Core engineering, fabrication or mechanical skills
• •Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in developing industry-related qualifications
• •Basic computer literacy
• •Good verbal and written communication skills
• •A strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• •Experience working safely in workshop or industrial environments
• •A demonstrated commitment to health and safety procedures and compliance
• •The flexibility to work at customer sites and occasionally away from home if required
