Core Job Functions

1. Guest Reception & Customer Service

• •Greet and welcome guests warmly.
• •Introduce guests to their server and answer questions.
• •Handle guest complaints professionally.

2. Seating & Flow Management

• •Manage seating charts and strategically seat guests to balance server workload.
• •Monitor table status and coordinate turnover.
• •Maintain an organized waitlist and quote accurate wait times.

3. Reservation & Communication Duties

• •Manage reservations and phone inquiries.
• •Use reservation/waitlist software to track guest flow.
• •Communicate with kitchen and serving staff to coordinate service pace.

4. Front‑of‑House Maintenance

• •Keep the entrance, host stand, and dining area tidy.
• •Prepare menus and ensure they are clean and stocked.
