As a host on our team, you will utilize your strong interpersonal skills to assist the servers in creating a positive impression of the restaurant’s hospitality, excellent service, and high standards. You will greet guests upon arrival, thank them upon leaving, have professional & hospitable communication, and set the tone for a great experience. Hosts monitor the flow of the restaurant through managing seating, reservations, and wait lists. The fast-paced and high-energy environment will challenge you as you play an important role in the overall success of the restaurant and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Contribute to Our Mission, Every Guest Leaves Happy, through teamwork, hospitality, proactive communication, and helping outside your role as needed.
• •Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile, eye contact, and genuine hospitality.
• •Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
• •Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests as appropriate.
• •Tend to special guest needs and requests with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
• •Observant to guests' needs throughout dining experience and communicate needs proactively to ensure they receive high quality service.
• •Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
• •Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• •Respond urgently and appropriately to guests’ and coworkers’ needs.
• •Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
• •Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
• •Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
• •Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.
• •Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift.

Requirements

Requirements:

• •Minimum 2 years' experience hosting in an upscale establishment.
• •OpenTable experience a plus!
• •A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team.
• •Passion for providing extraordinary service.
• •Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive.
• •Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills.
• •Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
• •Ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time.
• •Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
• •Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• •Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• •Must be able to stand, reach, bend, stoop, and wipe for extended periods of time.
• •Must be able to carry trays or supplies (up to 25 lbs.)
