JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Host/Hostess

Department: Food & Beverage

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• •Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• •Customer service experience strongly preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• •Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• •Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• •Strong organizational and guest-flow management abilities.
• •Professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
• •Basic knowledge of reservation systems and POS platforms preferred.
• •Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• •Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
• •Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts to maximize service flow.
• •Escort guests to tables and communicate server sections effectively.
• •Answer phones, take messages, and provide basic restaurant information.
• •Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• •Assist with menus, to-go orders, and guest requests as needed.
• •Monitor dining room activity and communicate with servers and management.
• •Follow company policies, safety standards, and service procedures.
• •Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
