What’s on offer?
We wish to complement our existing Fulton Hogan Utilities team with an experienced HSE Advisor to join our 10 year program of works for the City of Gold Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to drive your career further within a vibrant delivery team that is proud to partner with our client to deliver world class utilities services for the customers and communities within which we operate.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Provide health and safety advice, technical guidance and leadership in line with company systems and processes
- Lead and support risk assessments for project activities in collaboration with internal teams and subcontractors
- Act as the site custodian for the safety management system, ensuring effective implementation and compliance
- Support project teams with HSE administration, including audits and inspections to ensure alignment with business, client and legislative requirements
- Implement and maintain injury prevention and risk reduction strategies on nominated projects
- Conduct incident investigations as required and facilitate the sharing of lessons learned to improve safety performance.
How you'll connect to the role:
- Relevant Qualification in WHS (minimum Cert IV)
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry. Exposure to water and wastewater infrastructure; mechanical and electrical infrastructure desirable, but not a must
- ICAM lead Investigator (desirable) and Current First Aid certificate
- Proven ability to engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organisation
- Quality / Safety Internal Auditor (desirable)
- WHS and Injury Management experience & thorough understanding of WHS legislation
