About the HR Service Center Internship:

Gain hands-on HR experience across employee support, benefits, onboarding, HR systems, reporting, and process improvement while building strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Program structure:

• •Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• •Location: Mequon, WI
• •Start Date: January 2027
• •Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• •Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Human Resources Management or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• •Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• •Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• •Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• •Excellent customer service skills to assist employees with questions.
• •Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• •Planning and organizational skills.
• •Time management skills.
• •Attention to detail.
• •Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• •Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience:

• •HRIS experience.
• •Customer service experience.
• •Familiarity and/or experience with HR practices and HR law.

What you'll focus on:

• •Provide employee customer service.
• •Perform human resources project work, including assistance with recruitment, benefits administration, research, creating reports, and event planning assistance.
• •Assist in conducting new hire orientation.
• •Ensure timely and accurate HRIS data updates.
• •Maintain employee file accuracy.
• •Maintain confidentiality.
• •Document and improve processes.
