  • The Opportunity:
  • Join a mission‑driven cybersecurity team focused on advancing Zero Trust and modern Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) automation. As an Automation Engineer/Tester supporting Cyber 2 operations, you will help design and build secure, scalable workflows that strengthen our enterprise security posture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, streamlining security operations, and working with cutting‑edge tools across IAM, SOC automation, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and automate ICAM workflows, including user lifecycle management, MFA enrollment, and conditional access policy automation
  • Build and maintain integrations across Okta, CyberArk, AWS IAM Identity Center, and Active Directory environments
  • Create and enhance SOC and Zero Trust automation, including Splunk ES detection rules and Splunk SOAR playbooks
  • Automate security actions such as session revocation, access removal, credential rotation, and incident ticket generation
  • Support log source onboarding, parsing, and enrichment for IAM and security platforms
  • Design and implement Zero Trust policies involving Zscaler ZPA/ZIA, AWS Verified Access, and device trust signals
  • Collaborate across engineering, SOC, and identity teams to strengthen automation, consistency, and security outcomes

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Interim Secret clearance (minimum)
  • DoD 8140 – Foundational Intermediate – 671 System Testing and Evaluation Specialist (tentative)
  • One or more of the following certifications: CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+, SSCP
  • 4+ years of experience in IAM automation, security orchestration, or SOC operations
  • Identity & Access Management:
  • Okta automation (API integrations, lifecycle events, MFA workflows, conditional access)
  • CyberArk PAM automation (onboarding, credential rotation, PSM session automation)
  • AWS IAM Identity Center: permission set automation and account assignments
  • AWS Managed Microsoft AD delegated administration and group management
  • Experience with AD LDS for partner/external identity stores
  • SIEM/SOAR:
  • Splunk ES rule creation and tuning
  • Splunk SOAR playbook development for ICAM and Zero Trust actions:
  • user suspension, session revocation, access removal
  • Zscaler ZPA segment revocation
  • CyberArk account lock
  • automated ServiceNow ticketing
  • Log source onboarding for Okta, CyberArk, Zscaler, and related technologies
  • Zero Trust Architecture:
  • Understanding of PDP/PEP/PIP/PAP components
  • Experience automating Zscaler ZPA (ZTNA) and ZIA (SWG) policies
  • AWS Verified Access policy development
  • Device trust and posture signal integration

Desired:

  • Python and/or PowerShell for automation and API development
  • Troubleshooting SAML 2.0 / OIDC federation
  • Experience with FIDO2, CAC/PIV, and hardware token authentication workflows
  • Knowledge of ABAC models, including SAP‑specific attributes
  • Familiarity with myAuth (okta.mil) and DoD IdP integrations

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$63,300-$129,700
