As a Manager in our Indirect Tax team, you’ll provide high-quality advice and delivery for PwC clients under the direction of Directors and Partners. You’ll build trusted relationships, with a particular focus on the public sector portfolio, and help clients navigate GST, customs, excise and other indirect tax matters.

Your day-to-day could include:

Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand indirect tax needs and provide tailored advice.

Advise on GST, customs duties, excise taxes and related indirect tax matters.

Plan and deliver strategies that help clients manage liabilities, risks and tax positions.

Manage multiple projects to scope, budget and timeline while coordinating with cross-functional and international teams.

Lead technical analysis, compliance reviews, risk assessments, audits and disputes with tax authorities.

Coach junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Identify business development opportunities and prepare proposals, presentations and thought leadership.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a closely related subject.

At least five years’ experience in a large global chartered accountancy firm, including hands-on indirect tax experience.

Strong project management and client relationship management capability.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.

A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and develop others.

Professional accounting qualification, or progress towards one such as CA ANZ, CPA, ACCA or ICAEW, is desirable.
