Job Description:

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician – Baltimore, OH

Baltimore, OH | Union Facility | 12-Hour Shifts

We are searching for talented Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our union facility in Baltimore, OH. Qualified candidates will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy manufacturing equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• •Perform routine and non-routine maintenance and repair work according to established procedures.
• •Complete preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
• •Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• •Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical and mechanical drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, and work orders.
• •Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to diagnose and repair equipment.
• •Remove and replace defective or worn components.
• •Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
• •Participate in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• •High school diploma or equivalent typically required.
• •4+ years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
• •Experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• •Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• •Working knowledge of automated industrial machinery, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• •Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
• •Strong practical, mechanical, electrical, and problem-solving skills.
• •Experience with pump internals and rebuilding, including bearings, seals, sleeves, and proper installation/removal.
• •Ability to operate machines, hand tools, and electrical equipment.
• •Welding, machining, and fabrication experience is a plus.
• •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• •Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Greif's Baltimore, Ohio plant is a union facility . Once training is completed, employees will typically work based on seniority .

Compensation Range:

The pay for this position is $35.35 per hour. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
