Marsh Captive Solutions is the exclusive captive solutions division of Marsh. We offer industry-leading experience in captive program design and management, with captive professionals and offices throughout all the world’s major captive domiciles. Marsh Management Services Cayman is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Cayman office.
The Insurance Executive is responsible for handling technical insurance and reinsurance matters of a portfolio of Marsh Cayman clients, consisting primarily of but not limited to captive insurance and re/insurance entities. The role acts as a contact and resource on all insurance related issues and matters to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to clients, whilst providing technical insurance support to Marsh Cayman team colleagues. Provide insurance monitoring and control and ensures regulatory compliance. It is a consulting, advisory, and managerial position.
We will count on you to:
Reports to the SVP and CSL Insurance Leader
Manages the (re)insurance renewal process in a timely manner
Issues and inputs (re)insurance contracts, policy wordings, and endorsements
Leads and provides strategic input into program structure, design, and analysis
Oversees claims processing and resolution, including claims reviews
Ensures regulatory compliance
Acts as Client Executive for nominated clients
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with clients, prospects, brokers, other service providers, client teams, and colleagues
Partners with accounting colleagues; monitors developments in the insurance, reinsurance, and captive marketplace; can speak with clients and prospects about matters that affect them
Interacts with regulators to support changes to clients’ business; serves as a technical resource for Marsh Cayman colleagues; discusses regulatory updates with clients; negotiates fees and management agreements; manages colleagues as required; performs other job-related duties as required
What you need to have:
Internationally recognized insurance and/or risk management qualification, such as A.C.I.I. or CPCU
Minimum of 7 years of (re)insurance experience, ideally including captive management
Minimum of 7 years of recent experience building customer relationships in an insurance management and/or client services role
Working knowledge of investment and insurance accounting
Strong knowledge of captive and (re)insurance policy and agreement structures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to manage own workload, work effectively as part of a team, work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, multitask, attend and present at meetings overseas, provide insurance training to colleagues, lead client and prospect meetings, and research complex matters independently
