[What the role is]
This internship offers hands-on exposure to facilities management in a vibrant community setting, giving the intern a practical understanding of how a large public facility is managed and maintained.
[What you will be working on]
- Conduct routine facility inspections and following up on maintenance matters, giving you firsthand exposure to how a large public facility is managed day-to-day
- Support the administration and management of contractors, including tracking work schedules, monitoring service delivery, and verifying that works are completed in accordance with contract requirements
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operational documents, reports, and records, developing your eye for detail and documentation standards
- Contribute to at least one improvement or process review project during your internship, where you will be expected to observe current practices, identify gaps, and propose recommendations to the Assistant Director (FM-Ops)
- Collaborate with OP management team members and external stakeholders such as contractors and vendors on facilities-related matters, giving you exposure to real-world stakeholder coordination
Throughout the internship, you will work closely with the Assistant Director (FM-Ops) who will provide guidance, regular check-ins, and feedback to support your learning and development. You will be treated as a contributing member of the team, with the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on the hub and its community.

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Familiarity with facilities or building management concepts
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
