The AI Teams at Agile Robots are looking for a Software Test Automation Intern (m/f/d) , who will build automated tests that catch defects across our applications and services before they reach production.

Responsibilities

UI Test Automation: Write and maintain automated browser tests using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

API Testing: Build automated checks for REST endpoints using tools such as Postman/Newman or REST Assured.

CI Integration: Wire automated tests into CI pipelines such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI so failures surface before code merges.

Test Suite Structuring: Organize test suites using frameworks such as Jest, Pytest, or JUnit.

Data-Driven Testing: Parameterize tests so a single test case covers multiple input scenarios.

Visual Regression Testing: Apply tools such as Percy or Applitools to catch unintended visual changes in the interface.

Essential Skills

Academic Background: Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree programme in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Programming Fundamentals: Working familiarity with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.

Testing Fundamentals: Basic understanding of core software-testing concepts, including test-case design and regression testing.

Bug Reporting: Documents issues methodically, with clear reproduction steps, in bug reports and test documentation.

Beneficial Skills

React Experience: Experience building or testing React applications, including component testing with tools such as React Testing Library.

Full-Stack Awareness: Understanding of how frontend, backend, and database layers interact, to design more meaningful end-to-end tests.

Root-Cause Debugging: Able to read and debug both frontend and backend code to trace a failure to its underlying cause.

Backend Familiarity: Hands-on experience with Python or a backend framework such as Flask, Django, or Express.
