Description:

Join our Interventional Radiology team and play a key role in delivering specialized, image-guided patient care. From procedure prep to recovery, you'll help patients feel supported every step of the way while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Schedule:

32 hours per week

Rotating day off per week

Day shift, rotating start times between 7-8 am, rotating end times between 3:30-4:30 pm

8 hour shifts

Call rotation per department need (including weekend and holidays)

What You'll Do

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care before, during, and after interventional radiology and imaging procedures.

Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and the broader care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Assist with procedures such as biopsies, angioplasty, embolization, central line placements, and other image-guided interventions.

Administer medications, initiate and manage IV therapy, and support pain management efforts.

Monitor and manage moderate sedation in accordance with established policies and safety standards.

Serve in key procedural roles, including RN circulator and hemodynamic monitor, while documenting patient care and procedural data.

Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate education and follow-up resources for patients and families.

Monitor patient responses throughout treatment and adjust nursing interventions to support optimal outcomes.

Maintain accurate documentation, process physician orders, and utilize clinical technology and electronic health records effectively.

Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.

Bachelor Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Two (2) years of inpatient nursing experience in either Critical Care or Medical-Surgical units.

Current Iowa RN license

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within three (3) months of hire.

Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) or Certified Sedation Registered Nurse (CSRN) preferred.

Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
