As an IT Specialist at QLI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and applications within the organization by delivering exceptional relationship-based technology support that prioritizes the needs of our team members, residents/clients, and family members. With expertise in administering Office 365, PCC, and other related systems, they provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • System Administration
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Office 365, Cisco Meraki, and other systems as needed, ensuring proper functionality and security.
  • Assist in the administration and configuration of PCC (Point Click Care) or similar platforms, maintaining system integrity and user access.
  • Collaboration and Solutions Implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for IT-related challenges and improvements, leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Documentation and Training
  • Document and maintain IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and training, ensuring continuity of operations and user empowerment.
  • System Maintenance and Security
  • Conduct software installations, upgrades, and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure, monitoring system performance and security proactively.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems, data, and network infrastructure from unauthorized access and other threats.
  • Project Participation
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, providing technical expertise and support as required.
  • Professional Development
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT support and administration, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge to effectively fulfill job responsibilities and support the mission.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) and two years of IT work experience.
  • Proven experience in providing helpdesk and user support in a corporate environment.
  • Strong proficiency in administering Office 365 applications and services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSA: Office 365 or equivalent
  • Proficient with administering and managing Microsoft SharePoint

Employment Status: Full time

Schedule: This role is Monday – Friday with a rotating on call assignment and occasional evening and weekend projects possible.

Location : On-site (in-person full time ) 6404 N 70th Plaza, Omaha, NE 68104

Vaccination Requirements : Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.?

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time with proper posture to avoid discomfort.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to accurately maneuver a computer and processes.
  • Ability to travel short distances to access office equipment or interact with other team members, clients, or family members.
  • Visual acuity to read and produce detailed documents and code, including specific vision abilities such as close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds from floor up to shoulder height and 50 pounds from floor up to waist height.
  • Ability to push and pull at least 60 pounds on level surfaces.
  • Ability to squat or kneel to complete tasks at floor-level with good body mechanics.
  • Ability to stand or move around for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces
  • Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to don and doff Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to established protocols and potentially for extended periods of time. This includes, but is not limited to, using proper hygiene techniques and the use of gloves, gowns, masks, and eye protection.
