Position Overview:
- Want to forge your Heavy Duty future working on CAT equipment?
- We are taking on apprentices to join our busy team in Lethbridge.
- You will work alongside an experienced Journeyperson and become an integral part of our team.
- Schedule: 7x7 Continuous Day Shift
- Location: Lethbridge
- Terms: Permanent Full-Time
Job Description:
Basic Functions:
Repair machines and perform a variety of service oriented functions
Qualifications:
- Willing to work towards Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
- Successfully meet Finning’s educational and testing prerequisites.
- Completion of grade 12 (not including a general equivalent diploma)
- Meet the requirements of article 5.02 of the Alberta Collective Agreement
- Highly motivated and mechanically inclined
Strong assets will include:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skills
Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
