  • The Tool Service & Maintenance team provides value add by:
  • Overseeing or working in Tool & Die service operations and adhering to internal working rules and guidelines.
  • Operating all shop machine tools and hand tools (e.g., precision lathes, drills, jig borer, milling machines, etc. )
  • Reading specifications and using specialized IT programs to design and calculating the tools.
  • Constructing and repairing tools, gauges, intricate fixtures with synchronizing parts, gauges, etc..
  • Assisting in initial ramp-up procedures for new tools, in testing and analyzing dysfunctionalities.
  • A job at this level:
  • Provides setup and maintenance procedures for an assigned part of production, with a limited number and kind of machines.
  • Supports higher-level technical maintenance and repairs technicians in their work.
  • Follows work instructions, maintenance and repair procedures as given to provide reliable service.
  • Documents work and results in the systems.
