Are you passionate about developing innovative cooling solutions for the next generation of AI and high-performance computing? At CoolIT, an Ecolab company, you'll help design and validate the liquid cooling technologies powering some of the world's most advanced computing environments.
As a Junior Thermal Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, development, and validation of liquid cooling products, including passive cold plates, coolant distribution manifolds, and modular cooling system components. Working within our IT Cooling Design Engineering team, you will apply thermal, fluid, and mechanical engineering principles to assist with product design, engineering analysis, prototyping, testing, and documentation activities. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while gaining hands-on experience throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept through production. Reporting to the Thermal Mechanical Engineering Team Lead, this role offers an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise and contribute to innovative cooling solutions for high-performance electronics.
What's in it For You
Vacation and flex days , and paid company-wide shutdown during the holiday season.
Comprehensive benefits including Dental, Drugs, Optical, Paramedical, and Health Spending. These costs are covered by CoolIT and are enacted from your first day.
Dress for your day - in a casual yet professional environment.
Company-funded RRSP contributions to support your long-term financial goals.
Annual professional development allowance to support your ongoing learning, skill development, and career growth.
What You Will Do
Support the design and development of thermal-mechanical products and components, including passive cold plates, coolant distribution manifolds, and modular cooling system assemblies, with guidance from senior engineers.
Assist with product development activities from concept through production, including design studies, prototype builds, design verification, risk assessments, and engineering change implementation.
Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and related documentation in accordance with company standards, GD&T practices, and DFM requirements.
Perform engineering calculations, thermal, fluid flow, and structural analyses, and support laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis to validate product performance.
Collaborate with testing, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support design reviews, investigate technical issues, and implement engineering solutions.
Contribute to solving engineering challenges involving heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanical design, simulation, and product validation while developing technical knowledge and practical engineering skills.
Grow your technical and professional expertise through hands-on product development, mentorship from experienced engineers, and exposure to advanced liquid cooling technologies for high-performance computing and data center applications.
