ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Kindergarten Teacher at Clarksburg Classical Academy in Clarksburg, West Virginia dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. We are seeking teachers who are passionate and dedicated to bringing the curriculum to life for each student. The school offers a rigorous education rooted in the Trivium model, where students master the Grammer Stage to discover how to learn for life. About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities of the Teacher include to-

Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students

Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development

Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

Manage student behavior in the classroom

Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

Utilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students

Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms

Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child

Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning

Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed

Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues

Perform other duties as assigned

About You:

Preferred but not required

Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred

Current West Virginia teaching license or certification preferred

Previous teaching, substitute teaching, or experience working with school-age students preferred

Comfortable working in a growth-focused, collaborative environment that includes coaching, feedback, and ongoing professional development

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Ability to effectively supervise and support students of various ages in classroom and school settings, including the cafeteria, playground, and during transitions

Ability to maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment

Ability to meet all applicable employment requirements, including required federal and state background checks

Experience working with diverse student populations and communities
