HealthFitness is looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) Lead Lifeguard & Recreation Assistant to join our dynamic team at our client site in Marysville, Ohio (OH) . Enjoy a supportive team environment while helping keep our pool safe and welcoming for everyone.

Work a flexible schedule , within the following hours of operation:

Monday-Friday: 5am-6pm

Saturday: 10am-3pm

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Key Accountabilities

• •Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• •Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• •Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• •Perform chemical testing and documents results for two bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day. Works with Aquatics Coordinator to ensure proper operation of the aquatic's facilities.
• •Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• •Assist Aquatics Coordinator with implementation of programming, training lifeguards, and scheduling.
• •Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by cleaning and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• •Assist Recreation Coordinator with set-up/tear down of local events (Marysville, Raymond, and East Liberty) and scorekeeping.
• •Maintain a professional attitude.
• •Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• •Must be at least 18 years old.
• •American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• •Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
• •Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
• •Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• •Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• •Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:

• •500 yard swim.
• •Active, Passive, Submerged rescues.
• •Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
• •Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $17.00/hour + comprehensive benefits package. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
