The role is responsible for ensuring priorities, investment, resources, and delivery are aligned with OW Tech and Oliver Wyman strategy. It will balance business value, delivery capacity, risk, and technical dependencies across the portfolio while helping translate business needs into clear product roadmaps and executable initiatives.

The Lead Product & Portfolio Manager will also lead and develop a small team of Product/Project Managers, providing direction, coaching, and oversight while establishing consistent product, project, portfolio, and Agile delivery practices.

The role may also directly lead selected high-priority projects, programs, or cross-functional initiatives where senior leadership and coordination are required.

We will count on you to:

  • Own and manage a portfolio of technology products, projects, and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and available capacity.
  • Lead portfolio planning and prioritization, balancing business value, investment, resources, dependencies, and risk.
  • Develop and maintain product and portfolio roadmaps, delivery plans, and success measures.
  • Lead, coach, and develop three Product/Project Managers, providing guidance, performance management, and support across their initiatives.
  • Provide oversight across the product, project, and program lifecycle, resolving escalated risks, dependencies, and stakeholder challenges.
  • Directly lead selected complex or high-priority projects and programs where senior leadership is required.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders, Engineering Managers, AI Solutions Architects, UX, and other stakeholders to define objectives, priorities, scope, and outcomes.
  • Champion effective Agile and Scrum ways of working across teams and initiatives.
  • Ensure technology initiatives progress effectively from discovery and proof-of-concept through production, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Track portfolio health, delivery performance, product outcomes, budgets, resource forecasts, and business value.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide clear portfolio and executive-level reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product, portfolio, project, and Agile delivery practices.

What you need to have:

  • 7+ years of experience across product management, project/program management, technology delivery, or portfolio management.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or managing Product Managers, Project Managers, or similar technology professionals.
  • Strong product management experience, including roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, stakeholder engagement, lifecycle management, and outcome measurement.
  • Strong program and portfolio management skills, including prioritization, governance, capacity planning, dependency management, risk management, and executive reporting.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments and applying Agile and Scrum practices with cross-functional technology teams.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of technology solution delivery, particularly cloud-based, data-driven, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of AI concepts and delivery considerations, with experience in AI-enabled or advanced analytics initiatives preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, resource forecasts, and project or portfolio financials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certification in Agile, Scrum, Product Management, Program Management, or Portfolio Management is strongly preferred, such as CSM, PSM, CSPO, PSPO, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience managing a portfolio of AI-enabled, data, analytics, or emerging technology initiatives.
  • Strong track record of managing product outcomes, adoption, value realization, and ongoing product evolution.
  • Previous people-management experience with responsibility for developing Product or Project Managers.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology projects or programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience improving product management, portfolio governance, prioritization, or Agile delivery practices.
  • Strong strategic judgment and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate competing priorities.
  • Comfort operating at both the strategic portfolio level and the practical delivery level.

Why join our team:

  • Shape a growing portfolio of AI-enabled and emerging technology solutions.
  • Influence how OW Tech prioritizes investment and turns ideas into scalable business capabilities.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product and Project Managers.
  • Collaborate with senior business and technology leaders across Oliver Wyman.
  • Work in an innovative, collaborative environment focused on meaningful business impact and continuous improvement.
