About the Role

The Lead Specialist Customer Software V&V Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering advanced test automation, verification, and validation solutions for customer software products. This role combines software engineering, test automation, quality engineering, and AI-enabled development practices to improve product quality, delivery speed, and engineering efficiency across complex and regulated environments.

The position requires strong hands-on expertise in automation architecture, software testing, and verification and validation (V&V), with the ability to leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to enhance engineering productivity while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Engineering & Software Development

• •Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, testing tools, and internal utilities across mobile, desktop, services, and cloud-based platforms, while contributing across application, frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers as required.
• •Build reusable, maintainable, and production-ready solutions that improve engineering efficiency, test coverage, and software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Verification, Validation & Quality Engineering

• •Establish and execute test strategies that ensure appropriate verification, validation, traceability, and regulatory compliance across software products and releases.
• •Develop and maintain auditable test assets, verification evidence, and reports while supporting both automated and manual testing activities to ensure product quality and successful delivery.

AI Enablement & Engineering Productivity

• •Design and implement AI-enabled engineering solutions, including agentic workflows, MCP servers, VS Code extensions, skills, and context-engineering frameworks to improve development and testing effectiveness.
• •Evaluate and govern the appropriate use of AI technologies by balancing productivity gains with compliance, reliability, security, and risk considerations.
• •Create and support user-friendly internal tools that can be adopted by technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Investigation & Platform Support

• •Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using logs, traces, network captures, and device-level analysis while working across Windows, macOS, Linux, containers, virtual machines, and CI/CD environments.
• •Support testing and deployment activities within enterprise environments involving VPNs, proxies, certificates, authentication systems, and other corporate infrastructure.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• •Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• •8-12 years of experience in software engineering, software testing, quality engineering, verification and validation (V&V), or test automation, with at least 5 years of experience designing and leading automation initiatives.
• •Strong programming experience in Python and TypeScript/Node.js with the ability to rapidly learn new technologies and deliver production-quality solutions.
• •Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, pytest , and API testing tools.
• •Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development practices, Docker, shell scripting, and enterprise software delivery processes.
• •Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
• •Solid understanding of networking concepts, REST APIs, WebSockets, certificates, authentication mechanisms, and system integration testing.
• •Proven experience working in regulated environments with strong knowledge of test planning, requirements traceability, verification documentation, and quality management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience within medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
• •Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, Design Controls , or equivalent software quality and regulatory standards.
• •Experience with Jama, Windchill , and requirements traceability platforms.
• •Working knowledge of Kotlin, Swift, C#/.NET ; exposure to Rust or Ruby is advantageous.
• •Experience with network analysis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Charles Proxy, mitmproxy, and tcpdump .
• •Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, pairing, bonding, reconnection behaviour, and performance limitations.
• •Familiarity with enterprise identity and security technologies including Active Directory, Kerberos, OAuth2, SSO , and credential management.
• •Experience building AI-enabled developer tools, automation agents, custom extensions, or engineering productivity solutions.
