The candidate will serve as the coordinator and instructor of online service-learning courses for the program. Teaching assignments may also include service courses that support students from across the university. Strong candidates will demonstrate innovative, student-centered approaches to online and in-person teaching that promote engagement, critical thinking, and academic success. Experience with online instruction that incorporates active learning, inclusive pedagogical practices, and applied learning opportunities is desirable. The expected teaching load is the equivalent of 4 courses per academic semester. Applicants are encouraged to review the department's curriculum and programs through the HDFSC departmental website and university catalog.

We welcome applicants who wish to play an integral role in the online undergraduate mission of the department. In addition to classroom instruction, the faculty member will attend all department and program meetings, and be involved in student engagement activities, including mentoring, recruitment, retention initiatives, and participation in departmental assessment and curriculum development. Service responsibilities may also include committee work, program evaluation, and support of departmental events and community partnerships.
