Description

George School, a boarding and day high school for students in grades 9-12, seeks a Library Proctor to work Thursday evenings from 7:15 pm to 9:45 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise students during evening study hall.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and academically focused environment.
  • Monitor student attendance and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
  • Monitor library spaces and address behavior concerns in a calm and respectful manner.
  • Communicate with faculty, dorm staff, and library personnel as needed regarding student attendance or concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescents in an educational, library, camp, or supervisory setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Commitment to working towards antiracism and developing and practicing cultural competency.
