Your Opportunity
This is a permanent part-time opportunity based in Winmalee, offering 15 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Flexibility is required to work a rotating roster across morning, afternoon and weekend shifts as needed .
As a Lifestyle Worker , you will work closely with clients, families and care teams to deliver engaging lifestyle, recreational and wellbeing programs that promote independence, social connection and positive ageing. You will support clients through meaningful activities, social interaction and individualised care.
With empathy, enthusiasm and a client-centred approach, you will:
Lifestyle & Wellbeing Support
Deliver individual and group lifestyle, leisure and recreational activities
Encourage and support client participation in programs, events and social activities
Promote independence, confidence and meaningful engagement
Contribute to enriching clients' emotional, social, cultural, spiritual and physical wellbeing
Client Care & Support
Provide personal care support where required
Assist clients to access and remain connected to their broader community
Build positive relationships with clients, families and carers
Program Planning & Coordination
Contribute to planning, implementing and evaluating lifestyle and recreational programs
Assist in developing activities that align with client needs, interests and goals
Participate in client assessments and care planning processes
Transport & Community Engagement
Transport clients to and from centre-based activities and outings as required
Support clients attending community events and social activities
Assist with organising and facilitating community engagement opportunities
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Support quality, compliance and continuous improvement activities
Safety & Workplace Culture
Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices
What You'll Bring
You are caring, energetic and passionate about helping older people live well and stay connected to their communities.
What's Required
Minimum 3 years' experience as lifestyle worker in aged care, community care or similar environments
3 + years of experience facilitating group activities, outings or recreational programs and cooking skills
Certificate III in Aged Care or certificate IV in Leisure & Health
Current C Class Driver's Licence and ability to drive a twelve-seater bus
What's Preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
Understanding of person-centred care principles
Experience supporting people living with dementia or disability
Knowledge of aged care standards and community care service
