Linguistic Quality Auditor – IPA Phonetic Transcription Review

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Linguistic Quality Auditor – IPA Phonetic Transcription Review based in Portugal.

This role offers an opportunity for experienced linguists to contribute to a focused quality audit project involving AI-generated International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcriptions. You will review previously validated or corrected linguistic submissions against original audio recordings to verify transcription accuracy and identify potential errors. The work requires strong phonetic knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to make precise judgments about pronunciation and transcription. You will work with short audio recordings, orthographic transcriptions, and AI-generated IPA outputs within a client-owned platform. The project is structured around defined quality standards and turnaround expectations, with a limited, focused engagement. This is a remote project suited to linguists who are comfortable working independently and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
