Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for operating machinery used to cut and prepare cable to meet customer specifications and production needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with equipment, handling materials, and performing hands-on tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous machine operating experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cable-cutting machinery to cut materials to specified lengths based on work orders and customer requirements.
  • Set up and prepare machines for production, including loading materials and adjusting settings as needed.
  • Measure and cut cable accurately while following work instructions and production schedules.
  • Monitor machine operation and inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Safely handle heavy materials and equipment, following established safety procedures at all times.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, production discrepancies, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation.
  • Work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and minimizing machine downtime.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and established operating procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous machine operating experience is a plus; willingness to learn and receive training is required.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, measurements, and written instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to recognize equipment issues.
  • Forklift or combi-lift experience or certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and company guidelines.

Physical Requirements: Machine Operators must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift, pull, bend, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. The position involves repetitive tasks, handling heavy cable, and working with machinery in a warehouse environment.
