Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

• •Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders
• •Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
• •Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools in order to perform machine operations
• •Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
• •Select appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
• •Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs

Qualifications:

• •Interprovincial Machinist certification
• •3+ years of shop experience
• •Ability to use precision tools (calipers) to take accurate measurements
• •Boring and Rottler experience is required
• •Mathematical and analytical skills
• •Proficient using Microsoft Office programs
• •Ability to work with minimal supervision
• •Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines would be considered an asset.

• •This position is located at our Regina branch on a 4x3 Evening Shift
• •A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respirator where applicable
• •Apprentices may be considered
