The Maintenance Engineer assists in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment, including all therapeutic linear accelerators, diagnostic X-Ray equipment, and other electrical and mechanical equipment. The Maintenance Engineer maintains equipment throughout the various Operating Rooms in the Main and Ambulatory spaces as well as orders equipment/supplies via Workday. Additionally, they coordinate equipment trials and repairs with outside vendors.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A

  • Experience REQUIRED:
  • Two to three years experience as an engineer with an x-ray company or working in-house at a large hospital
  • Experience PREFERRED:
  • Five or more years engineering experience in radiologic/radiation oncology equipment
  • Education/training REQUIRED:
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or closely related field
  • Education/training PREFERRED:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Independent action(s) required:
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Engineer.

  • Additional position requirements:
  • Repairs are performed as needed in order to provide reliable and timely service to Radiation Oncology patients.
  • Maintenance is provided after hours and may include evenings and weekends.

Compensation Range

$30.01 - $46.51 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
