Maintenance Technician l

Romeoville, IL

9am to 5:30pm

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 Depending on Experience

Job Purpose

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility assets within a logistics center while supporting safe operations and maintaining equipment quality.

Key Responsibilities

• •Perform assisted and occasionally unassisted preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment and building assets within the logistics center
• •Learn and support maintenance of conveyor systems using conveyor control software
• •Safely learn and work with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3-phase
• •Ability to assist with the removal and installation of equipment
• •Assist in maintaining all spare parts inventory
• •Learn and operate computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• •Maintain assigned tools and ensure they remain in good working condition
• •Maintain a clean and quality appearance of all equipment and facility assets
• •Follow all Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, including execution and recordkeeping
• •Meets all attendance policy and lead by example for all safety standards
• •Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications (Required)

• •High school diploma or GED preferred
• •1–3 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience
• •Ability to replace and diagnose AC/DC electric motors, mechanical drives, and gearboxes under the guidance of an experienced technician
• •Basic mechanical repair experience and troubleshooting abilities to include bearings, chains, and belts

Skills & Knowledge

• •Able to gain a working knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fire suppression systems, conveyor systems
• •Ability to learn conveyor systems using conveyor control software
• •Able to safely learn various electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3phase
• •Capable of learning robotics and automation equipment
• •Ability to learn and operate computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)

Physical Requirements

Physically able to stand, climb ladders, crouch, crawl and lift 50lbs unassisted for extended time periods

Work Environment & Schedule

Able to keep non-standard hours, work overtime, and be available on call occasionally
