Do you want to shape how customers across EMEA adopt AI and cloud technology? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced technical manager to coach, grow, and partner with a team of customer-facing Solutions Architects. You will enable your team to design and present cloud architectures of varying size and complexity, coach them on solution selling and presentation skills, and help them develop into well-rounded technical professionals.
As customers accelerate their AI and cloud transformations, this role sits at the intersection of people development and customer impact. In collaboration with Sales, Business Development, and Partner teams, you will drive revenue growth and ensure customers receive architectures that solve real business challenges. If you are motivated by growing talent while helping customers succeed, we want to hear from you.
- Key job responsibilities
- - Coach and develop a team of Solutions Architects on best practices for solution design, AI workloads, and cloud migration, enabling them to deliver high-quality customer engagements across EMEA.
- - Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Partner teams to drive revenue growth by aligning architectural recommendations to customer business outcomes.
- - Manage stakeholder relationships across customers, partners, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- - Hire, onboard, and train new Solutions Architects, building a structured ramp plan that accelerates their readiness and long-term career growth.
- - Define team goals, track progress through operational metrics, and prioritize work across projects to balance short-term customer needs with longer-term strategic initiatives.
- A day in the life
- You start the morning reviewing your team's upcoming customer engagements and preparing coaching notes for a Solutions Architect presenting a migration architecture later that day. Mid-morning you join a call with a Sales counterpart to align on an AI opportunity for a key account. After lunch you run a one-on-one with a newer team member, discussing their development plan and reviewing a whitepaper draft they are writing. The afternoon wraps with a cross-functional planning session where you help prioritize next quarter's initiatives alongside Business Development and Partner leads.
- About the team
- Our Solutions Architecture team within AWS helps customers across EMEA transform their businesses using AI and cloud technology. We work closely with Sales, Business Development, Partners, and Service Engineering to ensure every customer engagement delivers lasting value. The team is focused on growing early-career and experienced architects alike, creating an inclusive environment where builders learn from each other and advance quickly. If you are excited about coaching technical talent while shaping how organizations adopt the cloud, this is the team for you.
Basic qualifications
- - Experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer facing roles
- - Experience with enterprise IT application work that includes software development or DevOps engineering
- - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- - Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
- - Bachelor's degree
Preferred qualifications
- - Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
- - Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian
