Role/Team overview
Want to do the best work of your life and help shape the future of Inclusion and Engagement across Sky? With 24 million customers in 6 countries, make your mark at Europe's leading media and entertainment brand. A workplace where you can proudly be yourself; our people make Sky a truly exciting and inclusive place to work.
Join the Group Inclusion & Engagement team as Manager, Inclusion & Engagement, where you'll help turn Sky's ambition to create greater fairness, opportunity and inclusion for all into practical action.
Working flexibly across the Group Inclusion & Engagement team's priorities, you’ll lead and deliver programmes and initiatives that support Our Shared Future, Sky’s Inclusion & Engagement strategy.
Working with colleagues across the People team and wider business, you'll use data, insight and evidence to shape recommendations, strengthen delivery and demonstrate meaningful and measurable impact.
Our Shared Future builds on the progress Sky has made since 2020, with a clear ambition to create greater fairness, opportunity and inclusion for everyone. Our approach focuses on the areas where Sky can make the greatest difference - creating experiences that matter for our people, embedding accessibility by design, improving social mobility and using our voice and influence to drive wider change.
A key focus of the role will be leading our strategic external partnerships and supporting the delivery of our Using Our Voice priorities, while providing oversight of our Employee Network activity. You’ll manage key partnerships and programmes from development through to delivery, governance and evaluation, build strong relationships with external partners, network leaders and senior stakeholders, and use insight and evidence to demonstrate impact and inform future activity. The role will also include a temporary increase in responsibility for the delivery and management of the Sky Forum up to 31 July.
What you’ll do
Develop and deliver Inclusion & Engagement programmes and initiatives, translating strategic priorities into effective plans with clear governance, milestones, success measures and risk management.
Identify and manage external partnerships where required, ensuring strategic alignment, effective delivery and measurable impact.
Manage programme and project plans, budgets, contracts, governance requirements and performance measures, ensuring commitments are delivered and value is realised.
Build strong relationships with Employee Networks, advocacy groups, external organisations and other stakeholders to enable collaboration, co-design and colleague engagement.
Take ownership of day-to-day delivery and stakeholder management, identifying issues early, recommending solutions and escalating material risks or decisions appropriately.
Work flexibly across the Group Inclusion & Engagement team's wider portfolio, applying your skills and experience to different priorities as team and business needs evolve.
Use data, colleague insight and feedback to design programmes and initiatives evaluate outcomes, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
Partner with colleagues across the People team and wider business to develop practical, scalable programmes and interventions that address barriers and support strategic priorities.
Create clear communications, presentations and briefings that enable stakeholders to understand priorities, progress, outcomes and key decisions.
Manage suppliers and delivery partners as required, maintaining appropriate records, monitoring performance and escalating risks where required.
What you’ll bring
Experience delivering people, inclusion, engagement or organisational change initiatives, from design and implementation through to evaluation and continuous improvement.
Experience managing complex programmes, projects or stakeholder relationships with clear objectives, strong governance, accountability and a focus on impact and value.
Ability to build relationships, collaborate across organisational boundaries and influence stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes within a matrix environment.
Strong programme management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, risks, budgets and deadlines in a structured, outcome-focused way.
Informed and objective understanding of inclusion, engagement and organisational culture, with the ability to apply insight and good practice in a commercial environment.
Sound judgement and discretion, with the ability to navigate sensitive issues appropriately and recognise when specialist advice or support is required.
Confidence using data, colleague feedback and insight to inform decisions, measure impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences, including senior stakeholders, and translate complex information into clear, practical actions. While not essential, the following would also add value in this role:
Experience working in a large, matrixed organisation, particularly within media, technology, telecommunications or another fast-moving sector.
Experience managing strategic partnerships and external stakeholders across the partnership lifecycle, including assessing opportunities, delivery, governance, evaluation and measuring impact.
A digital-age approach, with curiosity about how technology and Gen AI can improve research, insight, programme management, accessibility and stakeholder engagement while applying appropriate judgement and governance
