JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Purpose
  • This standard defines the Manufacturing Controls Engineer Job Description.
  • Scope
  • This standard applies to the Clanton plant of Adient

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Design, develop, and supervise electrical control systems, equipment and machinery
  • Installation and technical support of PLC hardware and software. Programmable knowledge in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC's.
  • Assist with needs assessment for computer and software requirements in all areas of the facility.
  • Assist with PLC and PC training as required.
  • Designs, codes, tests and debugs simple programs. Maintains and documents programs.
  • Assists higher level programmer/analyst/engineer with design work. Follows established methods and procedures.
  • Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Helps provide solutions in making technical logic meet the needs of the users.
