Description

Position Overview

The Marketing & Design Coordinator supports the school’s marketing, communications, advancement, and creative needs across our three campuses. This part-time position serves as a collaborative, school-wide resource, helping tell the story of our school and ensuring that our communications and materials reflect our mission, values, programs, and community.

Working closely with the Executive Director, Director of Advancement, campus directors, and other members of the school community, the Marketing & Design Coordinator will provide creative and marketing support for a wide variety of projects throughout the year.

This is an ideal position for a creative and flexible professional who has experience in both marketing and design, enjoys working collaboratively, and is comfortable supporting multiple projects and priorities. The nature of the work will vary throughout the school year based on the needs of our campuses, programs, events, advancement efforts, and school-wide initiatives.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director.

Essential Responsibilities

The Marketing & Design Coordinator will provide support in areas that may include:

  • Designing print and digital materials for school programs, events, activities, and initiatives.
  • Creating flyers, brochures, invitations, signage, advertisements, presentations, event materials, and other school communications.
  • Supporting school-wide marketing efforts that strengthen awareness of the school and communicate the unique experiences offered across our campuses.
  • Assisting with marketing and promotional efforts related to admissions, enrollment, community engagement, and school events.
  • Supporting the Advancement team with fundraising campaigns, donor communications, special events, sponsorship materials, annual giving, and other advancement initiatives.
  • Assisting with social media content, website content, and other digital communications.
  • Helping capture and share the stories, people, programs, accomplishments, and experiences that make our school community special.
  • Supporting the individual marketing and communication needs of each of our three campuses.
  • Working with campus directors and school leadership to develop creative materials for campus-specific programs and events.
  • Helping maintain a consistent school brand and visual identity across campuses, departments, and communication channels.
  • Assisting with photography, photo organization, and the management of digital and creative assets as needed.
  • Coordinating with printers, photographers, vendors, and other outside partners when appropriate.
  • Maintaining organized files, templates, logos, photographs, and other marketing resources.
  • Providing creative input and marketing support for new initiatives and special projects.
  • Assisting with other marketing, design, communications, and school-wide projects as needs arise.

Collaboration

This position works across the school community and may collaborate with the:

  • Executive Director
  • Director of Advancement
  • Campus Directors
  • Advancement and Development team
  • Communications staff
  • Administrative staff
  • Faculty and program leaders

Because this is a school-wide position, priorities may shift throughout the year. The Marketing & Design Coordinator should be comfortable balancing requests from multiple areas while communicating clearly about priorities, deadlines, and project timelines.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate understands that marketing in a school environment is about more than promoting programs—it is about telling the story of a community.

This individual will enjoy learning about our students, families, faculty, programs, campuses, and traditions and finding thoughtful and creative ways to share those stories. They will be equally comfortable designing a simple flyer for a campus event, supporting an advancement campaign, developing materials for a school-wide initiative, or helping leadership think creatively about how we communicate with our community.

Above all, this person should be collaborative, adaptable, creative, and willing to contribute wherever their marketing and design skills can best support the school.

Requirements

Qualifications & Attributes

We are looking for someone who brings creativity, professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit to their work.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related area.
  • Strong graphic design skills and an eye for visual storytelling.
  • Experience creating materials for both print and digital platforms.
  • An understanding of branding and the importance of consistency across communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to listen to an idea or need and translate it into an effective creative product.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school leadership and staff.
  • A positive, flexible, and service-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with appropriate graphic design, digital communication, and marketing platforms.
  • Experience in a school, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organization is helpful but not required.
