Material Handler (1st Shift)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Consolidate components for work orders and make appropriate inventory transactions
• •Count parts daily to ensure inventory accuracy
• •Enter part quantities in Oracle
• •Count parts manually
• •Gather relevant blueprints; build sheets and necessary parts and hardware for assembly
• •Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products and package accordingly
• •Resolve routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to a higher level for resolution
• •Knowledge of and ability to process paperwork such as work orders, picklists, etc.
• •Ability to read, understand and utilize work orders.
• •Alert Team Leader of pending or imminent problems
• •Ability to operate an RF Scanner to make appropriate inventory move transactions
• •Maintain excellent housekeeping within the department to ensure safety and efficiency
• •Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently
• •Material Handling and Transportation of Product
• •Work Safely and comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
• •Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
• •Must be able to work scheduled overtime hours
• •Provide coverage for other members of the shipping and receiving department
• •Assist other departments as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Work and operate forklift safely
• •For internal positions, no written warnings (within 12 months)

• •Must be DCI licensed to operate a forklift and able to demonstrate proficiently in the operation of department equipment for which applying.
• •Ability to use computer, proficiency in Oracle, PDM, MS-Office, MSDS Online, web based apps, etc.
• •RF Reader experience preferred
• •Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
• •Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
• •Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned
• •Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
• •Must be able to cover both Receiving and Shipping positions and will require ability to occasionally cover shipping hours of 8AM – 5PM
