• Grand Peaks Medical is looking for a dependable, long-term Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health Certified Coder to become a valued member of our growing team! These are full-time, in-person positions based at our Idaho Falls clinic.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred but not required. We’re looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and ready to thrive in a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do:

• •Process a wide range of medical claims
• •Create claims, perform medical coding risk assessment
• •Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures
• •Ensures accurate billing and reimbursement
• •Good understanding of ICD-10 codes, maximizing specified diagnosis codes, CPT and modifiers
• •Understand and apply relevant laws
• •Knowledge of OB billing preferred
• •In depth understanding and training in areas of medical terminology, anatomy and coding guidelines

Requirements

This is an in-person position (not remote)

• •Must pass a criminal background check
• •High school diploma or GED required
• •Must have experience and training in medical coding, or equivalent experience in patient care or the health insurance industry
• •Certified Coder certificate is required
• •Strong teamwork and communication skills
• •Must be a self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple tasks
• •Must be able to train in our St. Anthony location
